We can provide expert consultation in constructing your organization’s substance abuse policy and guide you on how to successfully incorporate the EAP. Of course, in order for the policy to be effective, managers and employees need to understand the importance of having a drug free workplace as well as their role in maintaining it. Drug Free Workplace trainings customized for employees and managers can be conducted on-site or through our convenient web-based learning programs. Substance Abuse Professional services required under DOT regulations are also available.
Professional assessment, treatment planning, counseling, referral, and long-term case management are provided to employees with drug or alcohol problems. We also offer unlimited consultation to managers and human resources regarding drug-free workplace and managing employee’s who have violated the organization’s drug free workplace policy. Managers can formally refer such employees to the EAP, and with employee consent, we will maintain ongoing contact with all treatment providers, the supervisor and the employee.
Employee progress is monitored for up to two years beyond initial contact with the EAP. This is an important element in preventing relapse and identifying its occurrence in the early stages. Research shows that without structured follow-up, employees treated for substance abuse relapse at twice the rate as employees who are actively monitored.
