Employees and their family members can call the 24 Hour Nurse HelpLine offered by EAP Consultants, Inc. Experienced, compassionate Registered Nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer health questions, and provide support and advice. If theres an urgent health care need, the Nurse can help decide if immediate care is necessary and recommend an appropriate place for treatment.
Nurse HelpLine professionals use advanced, clinical decision-tree software to support the call process and guide callers to the appropriate care, helping to discourage inappropriate emergency room and physician office visits without compromising patient outcomes.
The service also provides an Audio Health Information Library where callers can listen to over 1,000 pre-recorded health topics and have printed materials mailed to them on a variety of health issues. Five hundred of the topics are also in Spanish.

The Nurse HelpLine professionals also screen callers for services available through the EAP and coordinate with the EAP when needed. Conversely, the EAP refers callers to this valuable health resource when they might benefit from a consultation with a Registered Nurse.
