Drug-Free Workplace Program

We offer assessment, treatment planning, counseling, referral, follow-up and long term case management for participants with substance abuse problems. Substance Abuse Professional services required under DOT regulations are also available.

Assessments are conducted by masters or doctorate level clinicians experienced in the treatment of substance abuse. An individualized treatment plan is developed and the employee is referred to the type of treatment best suited for addressing the nature and severity of the problem. Cost and insurance coverage are taken into consideration in deciding the best course of action.

EAP Consultants helps employees access the recommended treatment and helps ensure that they follow through with the referral. We monitor employee progress throughout treatment and rehabilitation and, with employee consent, maintain ongoing contact with all treatment providers, the supervisor and the employee.

Employee progress is monitored for up to two years beyond initial contact. This is an important component in preventing relapse and identifying its occurrence in the early stages. Research shows that without structured follow-up, employees treated for substance abuse relapse at twice the rate as employees who are actively monitored.
